WHO TF IS H E A V E N  G ?

Welcome to my world. I’m Heaven G, and my journey is as real and layered as the music I create. As a Black African-American transgender woman, I’ve walked a path filled with unique challenges—from the battles of being African-American, to the struggles of being transgender, and even the hurdles that come with being part of the LGBTQ+ community. Add to that the fight for women’s equal rights, and you’ll start to see just how many layers there are to my story.

I haven’t always had the most supportive family behind me, and that’s made the road a little tougher. But those hardships, including time in jail and surviving trauma like assault by an officer, have shaped me. They’ve pushed me to find my own strength and to heal on my own terms. And through it all, I’ve stayed focused on my dreams of becoming an artist.

So when you listen to my music, know that you’re hearing the voice of someone who’s turned pain into power and who’s here to show you that no matter where you come from or what you’ve been through, you can still own your story. Thanks for being on this journey with me.
